Just came on to give this a big recommendation. Even if you don't know who they are or like their music, this film is so feel good. It's just a joy. Imagine working with your sibling for fifty years and still being best friends. And they've never deviated from what they wanted to artistically.

Really quite inspirational with some lovely bits of animation thrown in.

Loads of talking heads too. Katie puckric looks amazing and Jane wiedlin. Makes me feel better about getting old. Just lovely πŸ₯°

I really want to see this and am sorry I missed the cinema release.

Where did you catch it OP?

Nitgel · 24/04/2022 20:29

It's on netflix

Puppylucky · 24/04/2022 20:35

Totally agree - great band great film!

HereAgainFFS · 24/04/2022 20:37

Yes Netflix!

I only knew a couple of songs really and found Ron scarey as a kid I think. But they come across as really genuine people.

I loved the bit about the Pet Shop Boys πŸ˜‚

Saw this film in the cinema last year - it's so good. And we saw Sparks live a few weeks ago - incredible live band.

BelleTheBananas · 24/04/2022 21:18

Halfway through and LOVING it. Big Sparks fan anyway, but the film is great.

HereAgainFFS · 24/04/2022 21:20

Ooh, thank you for the heads up. I saw them in 1974, supported by Pilot. I will watch this and have a trip down memory lane.

When in 2008 they did consecutive nights each performing one of their 20 albums in full, they gained a lot of respect from me.

That was incredible. I love the ambition and sheer craziness 😁
