Went to see this with a friend, but I hate anything even approaching horror and the mutants have made me jumpy ever since. Wimp, yes, I know.

Anyhow, managed to see uptil where Will meets up with the girl and boy but gave up, at this point. Just knew I'd have nightmares. So, what happened? Was there a colony of survivors in Vermount? Did he find a cure? Did the mutants bite them all?

Thank you - it has been bugging me ever since.

Yes, widgypog - thanks, so much - I can now put it into a box and forget all about it. Very glad did not see them attack house - I'd have had nightmares for months. Will read my reviews more carefully in future.

I know I didnt realise it was going to be scary either..when me and dh were in the cinema on boxing day he said to me you know this is scary dont you? mmmm thanks for that.
Having said that he took me to Resident Evil at cinema a few years ago and said nah its not scary ..I watched it through my coat!!!!!!!!!!

I am Legend was like the baby channel in comparison!!!

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 02/01/2008 18:20

i didnt find it scary at all

just a bit of a non event..the story was so badly explained

the zombie things were too cgi

But, I can still see the chief-mutant screaming and know the b**r will turn up in my dreams, when I am least expecting him. Horror, or anything approaching it, just stays with me so, I avoid it. This doesn't stop me from getting really envious of the crowds pouring out of the latest horror film, all hyped-up.

Agree zip. Badly explained, and quite drawn out at the beginning.

fishie · 02/01/2008 22:47

So glad I'm not the only wimp! As I've got older I seem less able to deal with scary films.

I didn't know anything about the film when I walked into the cinema - I though "Will Smith, he's good - films like Hitch, Men in Black etc"
What a shock I had!
Kept seeing nasty zombie in my head for days after and every time I got a shower I expected to see him appear and bash his head against the shower screen (like the bit at the end) Gah!!

A (girl)friend and I went to see PS I love you, which had been taken off for the night to screen an independent film - so we ended up seeing this.

I had thrown popcorn all over us within seconds (when the loin gets the deer they are stalking) before the title came up.

We were white faced and clinging to the arm rest throughout but made it to the end.

I used to watch really serious horror, but years of disney/barbie movies have softened me up no end!

nortynamechanger · 12/02/2008 16:02

Forgot to add that his 'captive' mutant showed signes of improvement and he managed to take a sample before shoving boy and woman in the safe and blowing up the mutants, so they could take the antidote with them.

hockeypuck · 14/02/2008 13:21

and he had to kill his dog

What is it with us humans - we can watch someone kill another human being a hundred times in a film but if we see them kill a pet dog there is outrage!

I did cry at that though
