Help remembering a film title

Sirry, this is going to be one of those really vague threads! Triggered by watching 'the heartbreak kid' on Netflix I remembered a similar film from the late 70s or early 80s. Plot whereby newly married couple ho on holiday and he falls for another woman on the beach. Spends the whole time trying to avoid/dump his wife so he can pretend to be single to be with the other woman. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Its bugging me that I can't think of it!

I can't help but your description rings a bell definitely. I can almost picture it but if I try to really focus on it, I lose it! This is when I bemoan the closure of the imdb message boards. They had a section dedicated to this

@tezza1 thanks but I don't think it's either of those. I googled them and neither rang a bell. And I got so irritated with the Netflix film I stopped watching! So I havent worked out if the plots are the same

i remember a comedy film based on a couples honeymoon with the same story but i am thinking 90s....must go and have a look at my DVDs
