I’m on my own, feeling like it’s a weepy movie day, I’ve done In her shoes, Truly Madly Deeply and Family Stone what’s next?

I’ve netflix, prime and Disney plus Now but that’s only on the iPad, so has to be really good.

Any suggestions welcome

Seven Pounds with Will Smith
Always gets me going 😭

AnnieJ1985 · 25/12/2021 18:39

After watching Mary Poppins Returns earlier I am debating putting on Saving Mr Banks, but it makes me sob so might be a bit too much of a weep-fest.

furbabymama87 · 25/12/2021 18:40

Beaches (Disney Plus)
Stepmom ( Netflix)

The Bridges of Madison County.
My all time favourite and one of the view I’ve bought on streaming, good call. Haven’t seen it in a few years

My sister's keeper is my go-to weepy 😭

PAFMO · 25/12/2021 19:01

Terms of Endearment
Love Story
Dances with Wolves makes me cry, as does ET and Educating Rita, and Dead Poet's Society.

Reminds me I'm due a reread of Bridges of Madison County- I shout at the telly if I watch the film "get out of the fucking truck and run after him".

ISpyCobraKai · 26/12/2021 15:01

Brokeback Mountain but I don't think it's free, I bought it a couple of years back

About Time

JamieFrasersBigSwingingKilt · 01/01/2022 16:59

The Notebook
English Patient
Schindler's List (obviously a different kind of mood though).

Doingtheboxerbeat · 07/01/2022 18:07

Just finished watching The Shack and it's eye-wateringly bad but I still cried. Same with Last Christmas a few weeks ago 😒.

RedPandaWanda · 17/01/2022 20:26

Definitely Bridges of Madison County, I’ve watched it a billion times and never fail to blub like a baby every time it gets to the bit where he’s standing in the rain.
Dear John and Marley and Me too.

user94747295 · 02/02/2022 19:41

Bruised on Netflix

HumbugWhale · 02/02/2022 19:46

The Railway Children. The ending always gets me but I watched it today with the dcs (first time they have watched it) and I was an emotional wreck throughout. Partly because it was my very favourite childhood film so seeing my own dcs enjoy it set me off.
