Anyone seen this? It's a pretty jolly romcom Xmas movie that helped pass a wet Sunday afternoon and I thought was ok.
Plot was a Brit goes to the US, makes it big as a writer leaving his childhood sweet heart behind (Leigh Anne from Little Mix) who then co-incidentally also becomes a famous pop star (cue opportunities for Leigh Anne to sing in a sexy way). For a not quite clear reason (dad's infidelity) he then doesn't speak to his family for years but returns home with his new US girlfriend, cue lots of awkward but sweet/ funny scenes with his family and kissing childhood sweetheart drama... the usual stuff!
Marianne Jean Baptiste played the mum and was great as usual and I enjoyed the family banter scenes.
But the overwhelming highlight for me was the house they lived in and in particular the front door. Now I love any stained glass window front door but this one was magnificent - stole any scene it was in (and it was in a few
)
