Anyone seen this on Netflix?

I usually (secretly) love these types of cheesy Christmas romance but really couldn’t warm to this or how it ended.

Yep, I loved it, sorry!
I particularly liked the making the song non rapey part!

Haha that part was brilliant!
TowandaForever · 13/11/2021 18:37

We were pleasantly surprised by this. A sequel has been mooted.

I agree! Loved it.

Metheven · 17/11/2021 10:42

I loved it. The alternative Baby It's Cold Outside was pure genius, I am going to sing these lyrics from now on.

Coughee · 17/11/2021 10:44

I really liked it. It was just the right level of cheese for me - way better than a Christmas 24 type film.

Meltinthemiddle · 17/11/2021 18:31

I loved it!

Letsplough · 17/11/2021 18:33

I really liked it too, a nice easy watching & quite funny film. I

onlychildhamster · 18/11/2021 22:22

This is my new favorite christmas movie. Even DH who usually hates christmas movies, liked it.

scrivette · 18/11/2021 22:23

I really enjoyed it too, I would watch it again which I wouldn't usually say about Netflix Christmas Films.

TyrannysaurusXXrightshoarder · 18/11/2021 22:27

No, but I’m assuming it’s title is mash of the two best Christmas films ever? Die Hard and Love Actually? Love Hard is better than Die Actually I guess. I’m going to check it out……Wink

Whispers and dons hard hat - Die Hard isn't a Christmas film.
ISpyCobraKai · 19/11/2021 16:57

I think you'll find it is.

Metheven · 19/11/2021 17:34

Nope.

JaneExotic · 19/11/2021 17:44

It is.

Metheven · 19/11/2021 18:01

Just because a film is set at Christmas, doesn't make it a Christmas film. Despite the fact Alan Rickman was in it and he was a God.

Chenga · 19/11/2021 18:03

Really enjoyed it. Watched it with my daughter and thought it gave a nice message.

The Meatloaf bit was hilarious

MrsLeclerc · 19/11/2021 18:32

I was debating whether to try this one. I think I’ll give it a go!

Side note:
Die hard is a Christmas film for the following reasons:
He’s travelling home for Christmas
He’s bringing the giant bear as a present
They’re all attending a Christmas party
Office Christmas party etiquette is followed - colleagues caught snogging, someone trying to work and avoid the fun and crappy decorations.
In all Christmas films you have to get through the lows (crawling through a vent with no shoes on) to get to the highs (snogging your estranged wife in the back of a limo while the bear watches).
There’s even a pregnant woman in need of shelter (or at least a sofa so she doesn’t have to sit on a rock!) Grin

Metheven · 19/11/2021 18:45

It's a really good film, I hope you enjoy it.

It can't be a Christmas film, because the best character in it didn't get a happy ending (Alan Rickman, obviously).

Tabbacus · 19/11/2021 18:47

I liked and also hated the ending :D it was entertaining enough to watch but I don't think it'll be one I rush to watch every year.

MrsLeclerc · 19/11/2021 18:55

I do feel a pang of sympathy for Hans. (Alan Rickman was a superb actor and was looking mighty handsome in Die Hard). If only Santa had bought him a leather buckle strap watch instead of metal! Would have saved his brother some trouble too.

Metheven · 19/11/2021 19:15

Any film that Alan Rickman was the villain in, I was rooting for the villain. Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves anyone?

ISpyCobraKai · 19/11/2021 19:54

I'm going to see it at the cinema again next weekGrin
Die Hard, not Love Hard!

Metheven · 19/11/2021 20:26

Oh, I bet it will look great on the big screen. I've only ever seen it on the tv.

TyrannysaurusXXrightshoarder · 21/11/2021 08:33

Whispers and dons hard hat - Die Hard isn't a Christmas film
(Only just saw this….)
Well the guy that wrote it, Steven de Souza, says it is a Christmas movie, so………Wink
