What is Madeleine's big secret?

Right at the start, she says she has a secret she will share with Bond after he has visited Vesper's grave. And Blofeld reinforces this, telling Bond that Madeleine has a massive secret that is going to blow everything apart, when it gets out (or words to that effect).

But what is it? It can't be Matilde because she doesn't exist in the 1st scene and that wouldn't fit with what Blofeld says. And it can't be Madeline's association with Spectre, as Bond knows all about that. Bond doesn't necessarily know about her childhood trauma, but that wouldn't fit with Blofeld's prediction either - Blofeld can't know what Safinn is about to do , or he'd be taking steps to protect Spectre, not poncing around with a disembodied eye at a jazz party.

So what is the secret?

I thought it was maybe about her being pregnant and was going to tell him. Or they just forgot about those lines and wasn't meant to go somewhere and didnt

I assumed the secret was her pregnancy.

I thought her being raised by Spectre and her connection with Safin was the secret? I didn’t think Bond knew this in Italy.

Oh my gosh, I’d forgotten that! Yes, you’re right! She clutched it just at the end and I remember thinking the gesture looked odd… now it makes sense

But why would Blofeld give a monkeys about her having Bond’s baby? It might be useful collateral against Bond, but it’s hardly going to ‘blow everything apart’?

Bond knows all about her connection with Spectre from the last film (Spectre).

Bond may or may not know about Safin, but it’s not recent news to Blofeld, because it was Blofeld who ordered Madeleine’s father to kill Safin and his family - so why start taunting Bond with it now, instead of in the last film, when he was doing his (ridiculous) speech, telling Bond that he (Blofeld) had orchestrated everything bad that had ever happened to him?

Blofeld can’t know that Safin is blackmailing Madeleine to try and kill him, or that he’s destroying Spectre, otherwise he’d try to prevent it.

Argh- hate it when plots don’t make sense 😤

The secret was just between her and bond. Well she hadn't told him.
I didn't understand why she didn't tell him on their way to the station

I thought it was two different secrets.
Her shooting safin after he killed her mum and his connection to spectre.
And her being pregnant when she last saw bond, and keeping it from him in the years after.
