Saw this film this evening, great film, highly recommended. Anyone else enjoy it?

Yet to see it, want to, saw an interview Mads Mikklesen did earlier in the year. Glad to read that you enjoyed it.

I thought it was really good. Danish and British drinking cultures seem pretty similar.

Specs! Gave me a lump in my throat.

Wonderful. I purposefully didn’t read up on it but there was an interview on Front Row I want to go back to. Was the sports teacher drinking before the experiment or just sad? Only quibble is that I struggled to differentiate between the characters at the beginning.

I enjoyed it.

Saw it on Tuesday and really loved it. Mads Mikkelsen is fantastic (as are the other 3 main characters). I thought the final scene was wonderful although I did debate with myself whether they were glamourising alcohol. I know that Thomas Vinterberg has said he wanted it to be a celebration of life after his daughter died in a car crash at the beginning of production and I did feel there was a lot of joy in the film.

It was joyful wasn’t it? I think the last scene was about joy and seizing the day without or without drink. I’m going to listen to the director in Front Row and report back. At the time, before I watched it I thought, this sounds interesting and switched off so I could watch the film fresh.

In what way,they were all very different.

I went to see it on Monday. You could absolutely see where the story was going , it was so predictable. However I I'd enjoy it and would recommend it.

I could relate the characters to some teachers I have known!! Don't know whether that is a good or a bad thing.
