Has anyone seen them and would you recommend? Need a cinema trip to cheer me up with this awful weather 😁

Don't expect The Father to cheer you up, it is moving, disturbing and well acted but incredibly sad throughout building to a rather mawkish final scene in a nursing home. I knew what to expect and looked on it more as an introduction to understanding dementia.

I have seen Supernova and The Father. They will not cheer you up. Both good.

Ah OK they both look really good with amazing actors. Maybe try Nobody then😬

I would recommend The Father but agree it is not a cheery film.

I loved Nobody so much I went to see it twice and I can't recommend it enough! Bob Odenkirk and Christopher Lloyd, scenery chewing Russian gangsters and lots of quality violence definitely works for me Grin

I'm seeing Supernova on Thursday, also considered Fatima and Dogtanian Grin

Nobody was superb! It’s actually quite funny in places. If you’re not into violence or films like John Wick, then it won’t be for you.

Bit late now but loved the Father - Hopkins deserved that Oscar. It really draws you in and makes you think wtf is really going on as well as being emotionally tough to watch.

Supernova was not enjoyable in the slightest. I couldn’t wait for the end. Did not feel it worked at all despite the great actors.
