we use tesco dvd rental which is owned by lovefilm. haven't had any problems and happy with the price

onepieceoflollipop · 14/11/2007 21:28

We also have just started to use Amazon and no probs so far. go to www.amazon.co.uk
They e-mail you when they have despatched a dvd and then e-mail you again when they receive the one you have returned. We are on the "cheap" option.

3Ddonut · 14/11/2007 21:33

WE're using the free trial with Tesco at the moment, so far so good, maybe it will stop when we have to pay though

Lmccrean · 14/11/2007 21:33

go to quidco/freefivers etc (cashback sites) and try a few "free" trials which you actually get paid for. Lovefilm "power" a lot like this one dvd.easycinema.com/visitor/home.html which charges per dvd, rather than per month, so best deal if you are only looking them once in a while, rather than a continuos stream.

Lmccrean · 14/11/2007 21:34

(lovefilm power tescos one as well)

cazzybabs · 14/11/2007 21:36

Well basically we seacrched on line for recommendations....we found some against love actually but no-one seemed to say anythign bad about amazon. They are all about the same price wise...

smartiejake · 14/11/2007 21:39

We use Love film and think it's mostly very good. We pay about £15 month for 3 DVDs at a time. Quick turn around when you send them back and efficient when there are probs. Have tried blockbuster but they were crap!

sophy · 14/11/2007 21:41

We have used Amazon for a while. We were on the 3 dvds a month deal but found we weren't using them up so have downgraded to 2 now. Never seem to have any trouble getting the dvds we want even if they are new releases. But have had a couple of damaged ones which is v annoying as it usually gets stuck at the most exciting part of the movie. Currently working our way through Bleak House, very good.

dipsymummy · 20/11/2007 00:03

we use easycinema whic has been great.
costs £1.99 per dvd-keep as long as you like and just credit your account for £8 upfront!

pipsqueak · 20/11/2007 00:06

very good service from amazon on the 2 a month deal -very cheap i think about £4 - humungous catalogue

brimfull · 20/11/2007 00:12

ooh we have just joined the amazon one.

Looking forward to out first delivery soon.

Beats going to blockbuster and paying a fortune imo.

CripleH · 20/11/2007 17:17

We use Lovefilm.com, it's very good and it has a really quick turn around.
