It's a strange year for Oscars, isn't it? I've seen Mank, The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Hillbilly Elegy. I usually try to see a good selection of nominees this time of year so the nominations really made me miss the cinema.
Of the ones I haven't seen The Father and Nomadland look the most interesting.

My Octopus Teacher

Awesome. Best natural history documentary I have seen in years.

It really is a strange year. None of them are really pulling me in and normally I’ve seen a good chunk of nominees by now.

I have not seen any of the nominees yet. Am planning to see The Father when it comes out in the UK.

EachandEveryone · 25/03/2021 11:37

Its on Prime or somewhere.

rosegoldwatcher · 02/04/2021 10:01

Just looked at the preview for The Father - that's my sort of film!

Do any of you know when it will be released in the UK?

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 02/04/2021 11:30

@rosegoldwatcher I understand in June.

Thank you.

I just hope that cinemas stay/are open in June!

The Father is on Amazon prime I think.

@EachandEveryone

The Father is on Amazon prime I think.
I found a movie on Prime with the same name but it isn't the one with Anthony Hopkins, sadly.
EachandEveryone · 11/04/2021 21:02

That Saint Maud looks interesting
