Oscars 2021 thread

Nominations earlier today. Olivia Colman has been nominated among others.

It's a strange year for Oscars, isn't it? I've seen Mank, The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Hillbilly Elegy. I usually try to see a good selection of nominees this time of year so the nominations really made me miss the cinema.
Of the ones I haven't seen The Father and Nomadland look the most interesting.

It really is a strange year. None of them are really pulling me in and normally I’ve seen a good chunk of nominees by now.

I have not seen any of the nominees yet. Am planning to see The Father when it comes out in the UK.

Its on Prime or somewhere.

Just looked at the preview for The Father - that's my sort of film!

Do any of you know when it will be released in the UK?

BAFTA film awards part 2 tonight at 7pm on BBC1.

I found a movie on Prime with the same name but it isn't the one with Anthony Hopkins, sadly.
