Some great films there op.

I too like

Practical magic
The proposal - LOVE this

My suggestions are:
About time (ultimately uplifting but have the hankies ready)
The blind side (as above)
Legally blonde
Oceans 8 (I was sceptical but it's a new favourite to me)
13 going on 30
First wives club
A league of their own
Bring it on - only the 1st one, it's totally cheesy but also energising and uplifting
Goonies - a classic!

Possibly controversial - bad moms - but I LOVE it

Adventures in babysitting - utterly bonkers but wonderful!

Pitch perfect - all of em! I absolutely adore these films

Rock of ages - cheesy, naff, but totally uplifting

Role models - won't be for everyone but I think it's a really sweet film with a lot of heart despite its "quirky" and even "grossout" veneer Jane Lynch is bloody hilarious in it!

My cousin Vinny - VERY clever writing in a farce disguise, the scene where Marisa tomei is an expert witness is absolute genius but there are many others too

Hope that gives you a few to be going on with

Me and DH watched the new Tom Hanks film last night, News of the World.

No, it’s not about the extinct tabloid newspaper!

Beautifully shot and Tom Hanks is, as always, blooming marvellous.

DenisetheMenace · 15/02/2021 11:07

Les Intouchables

User2941 · 15/02/2021 11:09

Came on to say Les Intouchables! Watched it last night. Loved it!

ShipshapeShore · 15/02/2021 11:10

Runaway Bride
The Wedding Singer
And I also really like Bad Moms. The Christmas one where they sack it all off and get drunk at the food court is a joy!

BaconAndAvocado · 15/02/2021 11:32

Where do I find Les Untouchables?

Inthevirtualwaitingroom · 29/03/2021 08:02

I do love 4 weddings and a funeral

Bringing up baby.
I mean Hepburn and Grant whats not to like!

Wishihadanalgorithm · 05/04/2021 17:13

Hot Fuzz every time.

There are so many films I love but this one is bonkers and just so far removed from ordinary life that it is perfect escapism.

Watched Beverly Hills Cop over the weekend. It was flippin' hilarious... Eddie Murphy was so funny in it.

Haven't watched it since it came out in the 80s, well worth seeing again.
It's on Sky or NOW tv
