Anybody watched it?

I found the female characters behaviour difficult. Hitting her husband and turning over tables! That's clearly abuse.

I really enjoyed it and thought the acting was brilliant and the story covered a lot of subjects. I am thinking it might be adapted from a stage show as it had that feel to it? The main female character was very complex and yes she was very difficult but interesting to watch the hold she had over her husband and son. Didn't know whether I felt sorry for or wanted to shake the main male character!

Of course it was abuse. That was the point!

I thought it was a really interesting portrayal of a toxic relationship, and how it affected the innocent bystander. There was a lot of truth in it.

I've just watched this film and I thought it took the rather difficult subject of affairs and humanised it quite well. I think they overplayed Grace in order to up sympathy for Edward.

Mumsnet has such a simplistic view of affairs I often wonder if people forget that affairs are as complex and unique as the people involved.

I just loved her house and the contrast between her amazing interior and the beige house of his mistress.

We watched this a while back, such an amazing film. I'm a long way into a wonderful relationship now but my pervious relationship was very like this, minus the physical abuse. I found it helpful to see it on screen as in many ways that old dynamic still haunts me.
