I've just watched this and was so shocked at the ending! I can't believe that it ended like that after all they've been through!

I never got to the end. Please tell me

They succeeded - the law was changed so black and white people could marry.

But at the end it when it panned away it said the husband died not long after, I think in a car accident. And the wife never found anyone else as he was her person. It was just such a tragic ending after all that happened

Yes I did like it but think I just got distracted with children etc and then my Netflix of whatever had expired. I think I got near the end!!
