Atonement is a fab film- don't foget the tissue's

James Mcavoy is such a great male lead. This a tear jerker of a film. Definately recommend to go and see this with the girls as your fella will probably be bored. The cinematography is exceptional and you really get a feel of what that era msut have been like.

I thought he was wonderful and his presence really raised Keira Knightly's game (usually she just poses and has no depth). And it was beautifully shot.

BUT - the script was dreadful and I could guess what was going to happen moment by moment because it was so bleedin obvious. I felt let down by that. Major ingredient screwed up and from the man who brought us Dangerous Liaisons, hard to believe really!

bawled my bloody eyes out

that bit at the end, when Redgrave is being interviewed and tells what really happened you could have heard a pin drop in the cinema, I don't think anyone even BREATHED for that bit they were listening so intently - and I bawled my bloody eyes out too.

great film.
