I watched this last night, and even though I didn’t expect to enjoy it particularly- I thought it might be a bit macho for my tastes, (or even dull) being basically a two-hander with mostly just the dad and lad as characters, but I was honestly blown away by how nuanced and quietly emotive it was. A really satisfying cinematic film.
I cried by the end- the performances were outstanding, and it was beautifully-shot, with the landscape of wintry Montana becoming almost a central character itself.
