Anyone else really looking forward to this film (out next friday I think)

I've read the first three books and thought they were great and I really enjoyed the first film, Nightwatch although I felt it must be really confusing if you hadn't read the book first. Best subtitles in a film ever and I understand they've repeated them in Daywatch.

PLease don't let me be the only sad person looking forward to this (oh and Stardust is out in 3 weeks which also looks rather fab)

i loved nightwatch (never read the book) so looking forward to this one.

Maybe that's the danger of watching films made from novels though (them seeming confusing) - everything I was watching was coloured by the backstory I already knew whereas if I was watching it with no preconceptions I'd just be taking it in as it is.

Maybe it's better to read the book afterwards, and enjoy the extra bits, than read the book, watch the film and then be distracted by all the bits that are missed out

love the way the subtitles faded in and out.

i'd never heard of it, just caught it late one night on filmfour. thought it would be really silly at the start but it drew me in. great effects.

Yeah, saw it on Film4 too. I wanted to see it at the cinema but never got 'round to it, and then spotted the books at my library.
