Uplifting movies

In another thread a poster suggested watching 'uplifting movies'.

Any suggestions please? Not really looking for comedies.

The only ones I could think of off the top of my head were Apollo 13 and Erin Brockovich - both of which had people working together to overcome difficulties/help others.

Thanks.

Do you mean easy watching/lighthearted or more dramatic 'they win through in the end' kind of thing?

Iamamadeupname · 26/06/2020 14:20

@Pickles89 -they win through in the end kind of thing!

Any of the Disney sports movies, old classics like Cool Runnings, the Mighty Ducks, or Coach Carter.
I also second The Blind Side.

Shawshank?

The Pursuit of Happyness - Will Smith movie, based on a true story.
The Mountain Between Us, (although I found it a bit boring).

I think OP has probably found something to watch by now. The thread is nearly a year old.
