Apartment has a DVD player - but only Spanish telly.
Need dvds to entertain at night when ds is in bed.
But I don't want to buy movies that I'll prob only watch once. Can I rent them for a week and send them back somewhere?
or maybe even a high street rental place I could use?

Go for Lovefilm.com or Amazon.co.uk's rental service. Think Tesco do one too?

You'll have to pay for the highest membership (to get as many at once as poss) but if you're only using for a week you may get away with it in the trial period and then remember to cancel before you get charged? Not sure what the maximum out at once would be though - probably 4.

try your local library -at ours you can rent a film for the week for around £2.75

Thanks for that - I had a look at Amazon - but I thought it meant I could take as many each month as I like - but only 1 at a time.
I'll read it again.

I rented a dvd from my local Blockbuster tonight and it was £3 for 7 nights!

Amazon is £9.99 for 6 DVDs per month (3 at home at a time) top level.

Tesco is £14.97 for unlimited per month (3 at home at a time) top level.

Lovefilm is £15.99 for unlimited per month (3 at home at a time).

Do a free trial for all three at the same time and rent 9 dvds for free for the week? (You'd have to read the small print of course and remember to cancel in time!!)
