Just seen the trailer, oh wow this film was my teenage years and hearing the music and the sound of the planes brought it all back! I’m so excited to see it but I’m sure it’ll be a huge disappointed!

The F18s are nowhere near as sexy as the F14s.

I was in the navy and this film was in constantly when at sea off the coast of Bosnia.

Oh god how I loved maverick in his navy whites!! I used to get the video hired out if Azad video EVERY Friday until the owner told my parents to buy me the vhs as the two copies he had were actually just 'snow' in places..... volleyball scene obvs! I adore Tom cruise!

Tom Cruise is going to fucking ruin it

In the days of Top Gun and Cocktail I watched everything I could with him in it. Now I actively avoid anything he’s in. He makes me feel icky.

When does it come out?

I was 13 when top gun came out but looked a little older so I was able to go see it at the cinema 4 times. Since then I've seen it at least 40 times.. I know I'm going to be disappointed but I will be going to see it.

I actually love Tom Cruise’s acting. I try to separate that from all the weird Scientology stuff. I don’t think the advert is very promising, but I’m going to the cinema anyway!

I hope Cineworld do a double bill, original then new on the same night.

I will still watch it and like many hope they get Kenny Loggins back for an excellent sound track. We often get Alexa to belt the old one out We also love Cocktail in this house and sing along badly and loudly to Kokomo often.
