Help me find this film!!!

Going through some various Christmas films too watch and I remember specifically one that I am positive was about Christmas.

Scenario:

Woman talking to man (possible partner) about childhood memories being small and parents always making full effort for Christmas Eve (putting cookies out etc), remember the line in it so vividly goes something like "my mom told me to grow up, I was (cannot remember age), I was devastated"

I know it's a Christmas film and it's been bugging me for so long!
Cannot even remember the actress or actor, just know she sounded very well spoken/posh (definitely American).. at first thought it was Cameron Diaz but definitely not as I've seen her films so many times..

May also be from a tv series I am not 100%

Could it have been Dickie Roberts, Former Child Star? There's a scene that sounds a bit like that and the "mom" ends up doing a whole Christmas day for him with his favourite board game?

@ZebrasAreHorsesInPyjamas have figured out what it was, was the Santa Claus movie (can't remember which one) but the scene on the sleigh with the head teacher when they're on a date and she explains her childhood memories about Christmas.. typically figured it out straight after posting
