No particular order.

Robocop (original)
Empire Strikes Back (Rogue One too if other entries in a series are allowed)
Shawshank Redemption (brilliant and personally the best of the King adaptations until they make a proper version of The Running Man)
Margin Call (great script with the actors to nail it)
Master and Commander (as a bonus got me into the book series and the community around it)
Cube (looks a bit rough now as made for about £3.50 but about the only film ever where a sequence has had me holding my breath)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (a master class in less is more)
Spirited Away. Gorgeous film. A good entry point into Japan.
Tron/The Last Starfighter (cheating I know but loved them equally.)
Hong Kong era Jackie Chan e.g. Police Story 2, Wheels in Meals. God's he was so good back then.

Braindead (early Peter Jackson. Involves blood and custard)
