Nicholas Sparks style films

Sometimes I just want to watch a nice romance movie, but 'good' ones are so hard to come by. I've seen the majority of the Nicholas Sparks films and they are suitably lovey dovey and cheesy.

But I've tried a few romances on Netflix and they are another level of cheesy/naff - sort of made for TV style which i hate.

Any suggestions? I hope this post makes sense!
