Have you all watched Southpaw? I would rate it as one of the best films I've seen and I'm not terribly fussed about films. I just thought it depicted what it was depicting very well ifyknwim (without giving the plot away.....)

Escape Room is pretty tense, but gory.

burnoutbabe · 15/06/2019 22:50

Bit late but we watched I am mother tonight which was good sci fi
And always be my maybe which was a sweet rom com.
No car chases though!

Just watched The Guilty. I quite enjoyed it and do recommend.

Journeyman on Film4 (and I presume All4?) is a fantastic film, and I'd say it was better than Southpaw by a fair way. Not Netflix, but available to stream.

We watched Murder Mystery as well. It was entertaining and watchable, but unlikely to win any oscars.

I’ve just watched a couple of the Black Mirror series - stand alone dramas with a dark undertone. Worth watching.

Have you seen Rush - good film, plenty of cars in it!

pollywollydoodler · 19/06/2019 03:55

The Ballad Of Buster Scraggs is the best thing I've seen recently - no cars just odd cowboys. Very funny in an offbeat way

grumiosmum · 20/06/2019 18:20

Loved Buster Scraggs!

In the end I couldn't find anything that met with unanimous approval, so i watched McQueen on my own, and enjoyed it very much.

Have you seen 'He won't get far on foot'? I thought was good.

boringlyboring · 20/06/2019 19:02

Let’s Be Cops

boringlyboring · 20/06/2019 19:02

Oh bit late to the party, but put this one on your watch list anyway!

TheVanguardSix · 20/06/2019 19:05

Late to the party too but The Guilty was excellent, OP.
98% on Rotten Tomatoes and a film you could totally watch with your 17 & 20 year old. It's Danish.

NotSorry · 23/06/2019 23:59

Tried to watch Murder Mystery and switched off half way through it was so awful. I didn’t even care who the murderer was.

GetUpAgain · 07/07/2019 22:41

I've just watched I Am Mother and enjoyed it until the ending. WTF?

thatone · 13/07/2019 23:57

I loved Buster Scruggs too, Maudie is an amazing film, watched it yesterday - cannot stop thinking about it.

MonderMomen77 · 25/07/2019 14:38

GONE is a great thriller. A simple favor is also worth a watch if you like Hitchcock type movies.

pollywollydoodler · 27/07/2019 18:47

@thatone Maudie is on tonight's list now, I hadn't noticed it (too busy being hot and rewatching OITNB )
