Starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne.

Went with ds 16 and we both loved it.

Was funny and moving and I cried twice.

Based on a true life story about the highs and lows of adopting 3 children.

Really recommended.

I'm Adopter and thought it looked good.

Just seen this tonight and I can happily say it's one of the best films I have seen for ages.

So emotional and a 10/10 Smile

cafesociety · 16/02/2019 19:49

Saw this today, enjoyed it and had a few tears too. Worth watching, makes you think.

SingaSong12 · 16/02/2019 20:43

I enjoyed it. For any MN adopters was it anything like the process here?

Dee03 · 17/02/2019 21:45

Saw this today....I laughed and I cried and I hardly ever cry at films

Thirtyrock39 · 18/02/2019 16:11

Just seen this and thought it was excellent - very honest I would think about fostering and adoption . The social workers were brilliant
I cried from start to finish

Tealfrog · 23/02/2019 20:38

Loved it too - laughed out loud lots and shed a few tears too.

essieestherson · 23/02/2019 20:42

Was a great film. I laughed and cried too! Would definitely recommend.

Elderflower14 · 23/02/2019 20:44

Wilf and I saw it in the week. He stayed awake! We loved it..... 💙

twosoups1972 · 24/02/2019 10:17

We saw it on dd's 12th birthday last week. I found it incredibly sad and cried. So hurtful of the birth mother to get the kids' hopes up they could come back to her. I know the oldest girl persuaded her but I thought that was so cruel.

calsovip · 26/02/2019 16:13

I really enjoyed this film too!

Butterflycookie · 26/02/2019 16:15

I liked the film. It was better than expected

girlsyearapart · 26/02/2019 16:16

My sister saw it with my eldest two and her own girls and all liked it but said there was loads of pointless swearing in it- anyone feel the same ?
( I wanted to see it but had to take ds into the Lego movie instead..)

chemenger · 26/02/2019 16:19

I saw it a couple of days ago. I can’t say I noticed any swearing, pointless or otherwise. Good film.

cees · 26/02/2019 16:20

I didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised when it turned out very enjoyable.

chemenger · 26/02/2019 16:21

RE the swearing - I watched it on a plane so it might have been edited.

twosoups1972 · 26/02/2019 16:28

There was one 'fuck' but that was all if I remember rightly.

Hels20 · 27/02/2019 08:09

I am an adopter and I really liked this film. It had quite a lot of truth in it. The system is different in the UK but there were enough similarities to make it ring home. I expecially loved seeing the other types of adopters - October was obviously a charicature but there are people who want to adopt and who are so prescriptive about what they want.

Hels20 · 27/02/2019 08:09

Ps didn’t notice the swearing.

SavageBeauty73 · 27/02/2019 08:15

I laughed and cried. My teenagers loved it. I didn't notice any swearing.
