Saddest film you've ever seen?

So I'm sitting here watching Seven Pounds (Will Smith)
I've seen this film loads of times, but it never fails to make me cry. Like proper ugly cry, tears streaming, everything.
This is the only film that does this to me. I think it's so underrated.

What movies do this to other people??

The Elephant Man and I Am Slave

The latter is harrowing

Terms of Endearment
I sobbed!

babyinthacorner · 11/01/2020 22:46

@doubleshotespresso YES. I watched it on a long haul flight, sitting next to a stranger as my husband and daughter were sat behind me. I had to hold my breath to stop myself from sobbing out loud, it was so embarrassing. I knew it was going to be a tough watch, but my god. Absolutely gut wrenching.
Also Up and Coco. Watched Coco at the cinema and had to was still crying after the credits had stopped rolling.

Yestermost · 11/01/2020 22:51

I saw Lion at the cinema and cried for about an hour of it.

FrangipaniBlue · 11/01/2020 23:04

Opening scene in Up makes me proper ugly cry!

Watership Down
Green Mile (even the book sets me off)

The bit in the final episode of Friends where they all put their keys on the table

The bit in SATC after Carrie hits Mr Big with the flowers when Charlotte steps in - the hate for Big and love for Carrie on her face just slays me

The scene in SATC where Charlotte and Harry find out they can't have a baby..... and then when they find out they are!

When Iron Man dies in Avengers End Game

When the Ravagers turn up to give Yondu a Ravager funeral in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

Oh... The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas
I was talking with my friend about this film yesterday and she had watched it the first time this week.
We both agreed that we could never watch it again....Heartbreaking story.
