I liked it. Tense, well acted. Good storyline. Mind Sandra can do no wrong really.

Watched it last night.. loved it

Bestwestpest · 22/12/2018 21:48

It's on my list to watch ASAP! And I totally concur with the Sandra-love Grin

applepineapple · 22/12/2018 21:49

Watched it this morning - loved it!

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 22/12/2018 22:02

Just finished it, thought it was boring 😩🙈

Woooman · 23/12/2018 00:31

Watched it last night and I thought it was brilliant. Very tense and unnerving, and I liked the ending.

3boysandabump · 23/12/2018 00:42

Just finished watching it. I loved it dh said it was ok. I cried at the end

ChickenHeadDuckFeet · 23/12/2018 00:51

Just finished watching this. I thought it trod similar ground to a lot of other recent movies/TV (A Quiet Place/Walking Dead/The Mist) but managed to be resolutely its own thing, with a strong emotional core. I may have cried a little. I totally bought Sandra as a pregnant woman/new mum as well, despite her being into her 50s now. The wonders of the Hollywood 'lifestyle' Wink.

Hecksonaplane · 23/12/2018 01:02

First time in forever I watched a film all the way through without scrolling on another device or going to bed!
Teens watched it with me and they enjoyed it too.

spudlet7 · 23/12/2018 01:06

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Book's better though (aren't they always)

Dee03 · 23/12/2018 10:17

Didn't dislike it but didn't love it either

flumpybear · 23/12/2018 10:19

Really good

ShockedHorrored · 23/12/2018 10:21

What’s it about? Without spoiling
It of course.

HRTpatch · 23/12/2018 10:22

The book is worth a read

Nothisispatrick · 23/12/2018 10:22

I’ll watch it soon. I read the book in two days flat and found it really disturbing.

OlennasWimple · 23/12/2018 15:45

Is the film pretty faithful to the book ?

captainprincess · 23/12/2018 19:51

Watched it yesterday, really enjoyed it and Sandra is brilliant.
But I much preferred the book, my imagination whilst reading that far exceeded anything in the film.
The book is well worth a read, I read it in 24 hours it was so gripping.

Mammyloveswine · 23/12/2018 23:31

Oooh didn't know there was a book!

I loved the film... not the ending though...

I don't want to give it away but lots of unanswered questions

Fairylea · 23/12/2018 23:36

We loved it!

Mari50 · 24/12/2018 00:59

Didn’t like the book.
Really enjoyed the film.

AutumnColours9 · 24/12/2018 01:20

We enjoyed it

firawla · 24/12/2018 01:26

I started watching yesterday - was so creeped out I had to turn it off after about half an hour! But came back to it today, and watched the rest. I enjoyed it although found it really creepy and so many unanswered questions still

JAPAB · 25/12/2018 17:03

I've read the book and liked the fact that the reader is given no additional information that the characters do not have. All anyone really knows is that people are seeing something and it is driving them mad.

Will see if the film attempts an explanation beyond the book's vague info.

Powergower · 25/12/2018 21:24

I liked it but very similar to the quiet place. And lots of suspension of disbelief required. Also Sandra looked immaculate throughout which I thought was unrealistic. No one can maintain great eye make-up and pink lips for that many years in those conditions!! Also some gaps in the story which I won't go into so as not to spoil but eg Gary. Loved John m in it. Ending was a bit twee and unrealistic. I mean how do they feed that many? Good watch.

missxdivine · 25/12/2018 22:14

Watching it now and it's got my maternal instinct set to overdrive Grin

Gileswithachainsaw · 25/12/2018 22:16

I just watched this. Good film.
