I've just watched this for the first time. How on EARTH is this a PG? It's full of bad language, sex references and even a nude shot! I was having a watch to see if my young daughter would like it! No chance would I let her watch that!

It's very of its time. There is so much wrong with it in terms of consent.

I didn't love Sixteen Candles, despite being a Molly R fan!

I hear ya. When I saw it was on Netflix a while ago, I was so excited as it was one of my favourites as an adolescent boy obsessive. I'd clearly missed the rape and peadophile references and blatant racism. I was I can't watch it anymore

There is a part in it where one boy tells another his girlfriend is out of it on drugs or drink, so he can basically go and have a go on her.

I was so shocked and disgusted!!

I loved this movie but not as much as other 80s x
