Selling old DVDs

What is the best way to get rid of old DVDs. We have about 50 that we don’t need anymore. Would it be better to take them to somewhere like CEX or use and online service like moneymagpie?

You can sell them to CeX but they generally give you 1p for them. Only Disney movies / new releases seem to fetch anything much. There website gives a trade-in estimate for different titles.

Yeah, I was checking the other day with MusicMagpie, crap prices they were, 20p at best. I have used them in the past but this time I'm trying to Ebay them. I've sold a couple but it's a slow sell. MusicMagpie can undercut

I tried CEX too and came up with the same result. You can actually checking what they'll pay for individual DVDs on their website, although unless it's something rare or very popular you are talking pennies. Same with Ebay as well. There's generally so many copies of any DVD or CD being advertised that you'll be lucky to make much. To be honest, I normally either give them away or take them down the charity shop.

Thanks guys. We ended up taking them to CEX as we just wanted rid of them. My husband had a few ps2/ps3 games in there and in total we got £40 ish! or £60ish if we wanted store credit.
