Went to see this the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We're both Woody fans but are most keen on this type of film rather than some of the earlier slapstick ones (I can't stand Zelig!) and some of the very dark ones (most of whcih I haven't seen). I don't think I'd qualify as a "proper" Woody fan to the purists! As usual, when the isn't playing the lead man himself, the younger man more or less did a Woody impression (John Cusack in Bullets Over Broadway, Kennethn Brannagh in Celebrity etc). Lots of great one liners. Only slight discomfort was near the beginning when Woody can't believe how stupid his friend is being and he says "are you learning disabled". Now, as the mum of a child with autism I found that a little unnecessary and he is a better writer than that but it doesn't actually offend me although I can see that its offensive and would upset other people.......
