v disappointing

Blondilocks · 18/05/2007 23:23

I had it for my birthday but haven't had chance to watch it yet. Have heard mixed reviews though.

Blu · 18/05/2007 23:24

Really crap!
I saw it on a plane - even worse if you have seen Ugly Betty first, as it is an unfunny, squeaky-clean, shmaltzy version of UB.

WelshMum23 · 18/05/2007 23:24

i watched it the other day i thought it was ok not brilliant but watchable i perfer anne hathaway in princess diarys

JonesTheSteam · 18/05/2007 23:25

DimpledThighs · 18/05/2007 23:26

Well, it's not a great film! But I did enjoy it - very amusing.

ScottishMummy · 18/05/2007 23:50

its superficial eyewash fun yes
deep no

i read the book bout 2years ago prebaby in 2days couple of return journeys to work

Rantmum · 18/05/2007 23:52

Agree with ScottishMummy, and would add that it is a bit like Ugly Betty in principle except that Ugly Betty is better.

But, neither = deep. Just entertaining.

LoveAngel · 19/05/2007 15:53

Frothy, hammy performances, superficial in the extreme - quite enjoyable :-)

tribpot · 19/05/2007 16:14

The book was better!

moondog · 19/05/2007 16:17

i enjoye it
frothy but fun

HuwEdwards · 19/05/2007 16:19

crappola

DominiConnor · 26/05/2007 18:21

It's very very light.
Competent, a few good bits but less good than the average episode of Ugly Betty.
Would watch but not buy the DVD.

Dogsby · 26/05/2007 18:23

fun but the BOOK is fab

lionheart · 26/05/2007 18:30

Mildly diverting. Thought it would be better.

DominiConnor · 26/05/2007 18:50

Lionheart has hit the nail on the head.
It ought to have been a really good film because of it's ingredients.
The airline version of "When Harry Met Sally" didn't have the orgasm part in, and DWP wasa bit like that, you kept expecting the really good bit but it never came

scootermum · 26/05/2007 18:50

Rubbish..book is great..film is sooo wishy washy..
