I would move heaven and earth to watch any film promoted as a spy thriller so could not resist this one. It was tripe! Dreadful dialogue with pretend Russian accents: “Whaaat is it that you waaaaant from me?”, uncomfortable sex scenes and just really long and dreary. So disappointing!

Oh that’s pants. I was looking forward to watching it but was worried that it would be too similar to The Assassin with Bridget Fonda which was amazing. Think illl Just watch my copy of the assassin again. Thanks for the heads up power

watched it and wasn't great, had to turn away for a few scenes as I was eating popcorn and it was disgusting. Disappointing ending as well

NewYearNiki · 03/03/2018 22:20

Oh no. I was looking forward to this one.

Is it worth it with an odeon limitless card. Doesn't cost me any extra?

powertripe · 04/03/2018 00:27

You might as well if it’s free! I did enjoy the brief interlude with Mary-Louise Parker. I have to admit also that one of the friends I went with said he loved itSmile

Apparently the first weekend box office returns have been beyond woeful!

Brawsome · 04/03/2018 16:53

I’m fussy about my films and actually really enjoyed this one. It didn’t seem long at all. I did have to look away a couple of times though.

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 04/03/2018 20:16

I've got a cinema membership card and I'm not even tempted by it for no additional cost - the trailer looked awful.

sakura06 · 04/03/2018 21:36

The trailer was terrible! Your views have persuaded me not to bother. At a different time of year, when I don't have Oscar-nominated films to watch, I might have been tempted.

BaconAndAvocado · 13/03/2018 22:33

Didn't enjoy this film at all.

Jennifer Lawrence's acting was good but the storyline/content was too violent and uncomfortable. A bit soft porn in places too.

I'm surprised JL chose to make this in the light of the Harvey Weinstein mess etc.

WilliG · 20/03/2018 13:41

Don't liked it at all. To many blood and violence, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

CormoranStrike · 20/03/2018 22:47

Just saw this tonight - zzzzzzzzz.

Massive spoiler alert coming up, so don’t read below if you hate spoilers.

Right st the start there is a man in the park, a mystery mole. The entire film is spent trying to track down the mole.

Yet, they have pics of the man and he is clearly Jeremy Irons, so no mystery at all.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 20/10/2018 20:36

Sexist and racist in the extreme

Why do Americans get away with making films that portray Russia so badly and no one calls them in it ?

What was she thinking

Watched on a flight and my colleague was like WTF are you watching !!!!!

Achocaday · 23/05/2021 07:14

Watched this film last night. I didn't get the twist at the end. Can anyone explain it for me please?

istaci · 23/05/2021 16:43

Overall, I enjoyed it. I thought they spent too much time at “whore school” and that it was really violent but otherwise dug it. Jennifer Lawrence was great. I liked the way the film looked and I much preferred it to Atomic Blonde, which I found near incomprehensible. Surprised that it got so bagged on when it was released.

Yutes · 25/05/2021 12:15

I prefer a film called Anna, if you want a decent female spy flick
