Not seen The Greatest Showman yet & planning a trip next weekend. The only showing we can go to is the Singalong version......will this be too annoying? Will everyone be blasting it out?

I wouldnt

There is no drama in the film. Major plot events are replaced with here is a stupid song instead.

The film is unbearable enough without having to listen to everyone's off key singing too.

Thanks...that's a shame! I thought it would just be the normal film but you can sing along without being told to shut up.

I'm going on Sunday for a laugh I've already seen it though.

Never been to a singalong showing of anything

We saw the non sing a long a couple of weeks ago. Dd2 (11) loved it so much I’ve booked sing a long tickets for this weekend for her and her aunty. I reckon it would be great fun actually.

I love this film. Just seen our local cinema is showing singalong this weekend, I may just have to buy tickets Smile. I can't sing for toffee though but hopefully no-one would be able to hear me. Never been to a singalong version of a film before, people tend to dress up too don't they?

Yes everyone will be blasting it out - that's the point.
As to if it would be annoying or not, that depends on how you feel, but if you've not learned all the songs and seen it several times, then I suspect it would be.

I've seen the normal film and enjoyed it a lot. I saw Sing along Frozen and it just has the song words as subtitles. Not many people sang though and I was disappointed!

Bad enough when people start singing along to songs in the standard format. My biggest bloody nightmare would be seeing one where they encouraged singing

HarissaPaste · 28/02/2018 13:43

I’ve been to a singalong of this. It was fun and everyone was enjoying themselves. Fuck the haters.

I love the movie and wrote to cineworld to ask if my local was doing a sing along version but they didn’t reply the bastards.

I’d say it will be annoying if you haven’t already seen it and spent the last month singing the soundtrack yourself. Try and find a non sing along one to see though.

I’m not a musical lover, in fact when we went in we had no idea it was a musical and DP said “as long as they don’t start singing it will be fine”. First 30 seconds Hugh Jackman breaks into song. But we both loved it and saw it again afterwards with the DCs.
