And what it was called? It was made in the UK (I think) sometime in the 70s or 80s and the film is about a man lying in a coma with his eyes open..it was very creepy and led you to believe he wasn't actually in a coma at all, the only film I can find called "Coma" stars Michael Douglas but I'm sure it was a Brit film, I was quite young when it was aired on TV and it scared the shit out of me! Thanks in advance.

Does the guy have psychic powers?

NSEA · 17/02/2018 22:59

Because I reckon its The Medusa Touch

Teddy1970 · 17/02/2018 23:01

That rings a bell NSEA...the bloke in a coma had blonde curly hair and goggly eyes, I remember a nurse going up close to his face to see if he would react...it was terrifying!

The Dead Zone

NSEA · 17/02/2018 23:03

Dead Xone is definitely not British

It’s one of those films that stays with you on some level - haunting and creepy!

NSEA · 17/02/2018 23:04

Oh Patrick is a good call

AliCat36 · 17/02/2018 23:04

Yep, it's Patrick

NSEA · 17/02/2018 23:05

(But not British)

Bostin · 17/02/2018 23:07

Patrick

Yes NSEA a very simple concept for a film but my god it was chilling! He just lay there staring at the ceiling, I was expecting him to move or blink at any second, I watched that film through my fingers I think.

Ah yes, an Australian film, I thought it was a Brit or Aussie production as it had a grittiness about it...no Hollywood gloss!

Oh god that's a great film! The bit with the typewriter Shock

The Medusa Touch starred Richard Burton as a man who could cause disasters.

He ends up in a coma (not before the detective sees the power of the man) and the last scene is his wobbly hand, scrawling "Windscale". Meaning his next target would be the nuclear power plant later renamed Sellafield.

Teddy1970 · 18/02/2018 10:36

The Medusa touch...yes! All these great films seem to have vanished from tv.
