Is there actually a film in which he doesn't die or be maimed?

I saw Journey's End yesterday and thought it was excellent, far better than a stage production I saw a few years ago. Was Sam Clafin Stanhope? All the performances were spot on.

Love Rosie - I think he remains fairly intact but the film is so bad that you think he'd welcome an early death Grin
