Dh and I saw it last weekend, anyone else?

Beautiful film, so poignant and sad.

I'm hoping to get to see this later this week so I'll come back if I get to it!

Liliywil · 30/11/2017 14:48

I really want to watch this one. Maybe this weekend!

Jamie Bell is amazing in it. Deserves an Oscar nod. The music is great too.

(Side note: when the barman in 1979 served them 2 pints and said, "That'll be 90p please," the whole cinema gasped loudly! Grin

I enjoyed it for the most part, but found Annette Bening's voice a bit annoying - too girly and breathless. Mind you, I have no idea whether Gloria Grahame's voice was like that, so it could have been a true representation!

GG’s voice was like that, a bit Marilyn. Agree, Jamie Bell was excellent - came across really in love!

Just seen it. I loved it. My god Jamie Bell has grown up!
Thought it was beautifully acted.

Its on sky if anyone wants to watch it. It was a gorgeous film. A real weepy.

Bamaluz · 08/09/2018 23:47

I've just watched this and loved it. Jamie Bell is outstanding throughout, I had to recommend it on here even though its an old thread.

Mrskeats · 21/09/2018 23:05

It’s an even better book imho
Peter’s mum is in it more and she’s a great character

Davros · 29/09/2018 23:27

Watched it tonight on Netflix. It was excellent, great acting all round

SoleBizzz · 10/11/2018 21:07

Just watched this GORGEOUS movie.. I'm in bits here.

I thought this was a fantastic film. I think that it may even become one of the very few films that I will watch again and again.
