Released today. Looks adorable. Anyone else planning to see?

Yes me but have just read the Guardian review which has made me wonder if I should, it does seem out of step with most other reviews however.

Ive noticed Guardian reviews are usually unduly harsh.

I took dd (9) today

I loved it! Take tissues, it's very emotional. Poor Christopher Robin had an awful childhood if it's accurate. I had read the reviews and did wonder if it would be suitable for dd but I think a lot of it went over her head. She got a bit fidgety at the end but she said she wasn't bored.

My only niggle was the use of the term 'bleed out' by a very middle class English man in the 1920s but otherwise I don't think it deserved the harsh reviews. It was beautifully shot

Saw it this pm. Dragged myself out of my sick bed. A lovely film!

Beautifully shot but basically a tale of how to be the most abusive parents possible. Cant honestly say I enjoyed it.

I took DS 9 years old today. He is a history enthusiast very interested in the World Wars and his SAH dad read him all the Pooh books, he also knew the poems to which the film alluded.

He loved it and chortled openly at some of the dialogue. I cried quietly at one point.

We had a really good discussion over lunch afterwards.

We went to see this this evening, took my mum and my 11yo dd and we all enjoyed it but were all in tears by the end!!

Poor Christopher Robin - his parents were useless!
