Quick question - The Illusionist - is it any good?

I'm going to the cinema tonight with DH and The Illusionist is on. Is it worth it or shall we see a different one and keep The Illusionist for going with my DS? I like Edward Norton, if that makes a difference. Thanks.

DH enjoyed it, but so did DSs (aged 11 and 9), so it's a tough call.

No, no, it helps. There's Blood Diamnod too and The Last King of Scotland. A few others as well. I just fancied Edward Norton tonight

It's fab. I watched it with my dad (he's in his 50's) and we both enjoyed it. IMO its a movie for the entire family. Easy enough for kids to follow, but enough mystique in the tricks for adults to enjoy too. Thats what I think anyway =)

Thanks, NutterlyUts. We'll see that one as the others are starting in 10 and 20 minutes. There's Marie Antoinette too, but maybe I can see that one with DS. If The Illusionist is good I can see it again with DS. We have free babysitting for a few more nights as Mum is here and suddenly trealised we have to make the most of it. Off we go. thanks

It was very good. I enjoyed it so much. I loved the ending too. I wasn't too impressed with Edward Norton's performance (a bit too wooden rather than dark and mysterious) but that was okay, I really liked the film overall.
