to be the next James Bond. Who better?

Well, I'll not be complaining. First time I saw him in something was the Dressmaker, thoroughly enjoyed the film and him in it! He reminded me of someone else, so looked him up, his brother was in the soap Home and Away.
I'm an Idris fan too.

Having seen him without the Barbie tresses in the new Avengers film, I can really see this. He has a weirdly authoritative voice, and a turn for comedy.

I love Chris Hemsworth, but I can't see him as Bond. I'm not sure they'd go for a non-British actor really. Would've loved Idris Elba, but he's getting a bit old now.

How can Idris be too old when previous incumbents include Roger Moore and Sean Connery?

Idris is 45, by the way, and 4 years younger than Daniel Craig. 🙄

I'm fairly certain Idris Elba said himself he's too old for it. Daniel Craig is 50 now, but was 38 the first time he played Bond. There's a lot of stunt work. I'd love to see him as Bond though
