There's going to be a Blade Runner sequel

It's going to be set 30 years after the first film and Harrison Ford is going to be in it. I hadn't realised that the first film was set in 2019.

I wonder why they didn't choose further into the future. There seemed to be a few movies made around that time that expected technology to advance a lot faster than it has. Back to the Future II for instance.

Anyway, I'm very excited. I hope it's worth the wait.
