We're going to see this later, but my 8yo (almost 9) ds has the children's book, and he might ask to come along. Would it be unsuitable? Thanks. :)

There are some references to drugs and also a scene where James is withdrawing from methadone. I would say it's generally OK as obviously most of it's about Bob and it's generally a feelgood film, but it might be worth explaining before/after that 'drugs are bad, m'kay'.
