I went to a preview of this film on Sunday. I didn't know what to expect tbh, but I was pleasantly surprised. It had a unique charm and was refreshingly different. It felt a bit like a Japanese folk tale so very appealing for the DC, with some scary bits to add some edge. There are not that many films around that offer such a captivating 'creepy' style that children love.
Some brilliant characters brought loads of humour, especially the monkey and the beetle. The special effects and stop motion animation was incredible and I really hope the director and his team get an Oscar for it.
