Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie

My son actually asked to go and see this movie! I LOVED the TV series and think Joanna Lumley is fantastic so happily trotted along.
It's a good movie, but not a GREAT movie. It's full of celebrity cameos and that alone makes it quite fun to watch. Joanna Lumley's character Patsy carries the entire movie for me, she's just brilliant.
It was a bit sad in places and I felt some of the characters had become overly grumpy and quite harsh, but if you love this comedy duo, then you'll have a fun filled couple of hours.
What does everyone else think? Am I about right?

You're right it was good, not great.

I didn't have overly high expectations when I went, so I wasn't disappointed.

Definitely worth seeing for a giggle!

I didn't even think it was good tbh. They didn't write much of a story and it felt like it was just being carried on the wave of the previous writing and resting on viewers love of the characters. Patsy was far nicer and less caustic than she used to be which was disappointing. I did think she made a very sexy man though!
