Not seen it - what does Mark Kermode say about it? Newsnight Review were split down the middle, with one side saying it's shite and the other (Paul Morley and woman whose name I forget) saying it's rollicking good entertainment

No idea about torture though :-/

Dr Kermode (I still heart him) fell on the 'good rollicking entertainment and verhoeven back on form' side of fence...but he is not precious about his films.

he did a hysterical review about how utterly crap Babel is and how up it's own arse.

oh please can someone have seen it and tell me about the violence.
