Went to see this today & found it very amusing. Kate Beckinsale had some very funny lines and as the mother of a teenage daughter I had some sympathies with her (not many). Lots of fun & something you could go to with your best friend, daughter or your mother.

The thick potential son-in-law was absolutely fantastic - I had tears rolling down my face at that scene. I just wish the whole film could have been him, really. I enjoyed the rest of it but it paled in comparison a bit.

I agree it was lovely gentle, funny andwatchable movie. Saw it last Sat with DD13 who loves anything Austen.

Went with the mums at baby cinema, was packed out. Great adaptation, Kate Beckinsale well cast, witty script, highly recommended.
