Mustang

A friend & I went to see Mustang this evening and really enjoyed it. The film tells the story of 5 orphaned school girls who live with their grandmother in a remote part of Turkey. Go see it!

I saw a trailer for this and really fancy it.

It's really good. Went to see it, randomly. The girl who plays the little one is excellent. Made me realise what different lives women in other cultures live. I couldn't help thinking of the Turkish woman in the red dress photo that shocked the world (well us) a few years back...

Oh it's awesome. Really really good. Go and see it.

Reminded me that it's not just the obviously outwardly repressive cultures that wreck women's lives. But this film is also funny, and gripping.
