Has anybody else seen this ? I Thought it was a great movie but crap ending. What's are your veiws ? Also what other films would you recommend

I saw this with my DD. Well made but quite formulaic. Nice to see the abusive boyfriend get his comeuppance but didnt totally understand the significance, if any, about rat traps and leftover food.
DD hasnt seen many horror movies so thought it was terrific and was on the edge of her seat. I have to admit I didn't guess the ending.
