so, what d'ya think?

I loved it. A nice warm fluffy film for a girl to see on a Saturday afternoon. Had me in tears. And I certainly wasnt the only one. Good cast, great acting, excellent cinematography, enjoyable music. Ticked all the boxes for me today.

I took my DD aged 10 to see this today. I was treating her to a 'girly' day without her brothers aged 8 and 7. We both really liked it. It was nice for me to take her on her own to see something a bit more grown up, as we usually all go to the cinema together, so watch something that the boys will enjoy. When I first saw the film advertised, I wasn't sure about the casting of Renee Zellwegger as Beatrix Potter, but she fills the role really well. The scenery was beautiful, the acting was really good, there was a little bit of humour, and sadness, great storyline. Really enjoyed it.

i want to go and see this with my mum poss this week

nikkie · 14/01/2007 19:27

I might be going on Friday but don't fancy it really anyone want to convince me?

MummyPenguin · 14/01/2007 20:39

It depends on what you normally like. It's very 'proper' in terms of the dialogue and the way the characters conduct themselves, which was actually quite refreshing to watch. I was a bit concerned that DD might be bored, and me too for that matter, but we weren't. The story carries itself well enough to keep you interested. I think you'll enjoy it.

I kep meaning to go & see it - the book about the making of the film was written by my BIL's BIL.

Did they show alot of the background scenery (lake district) I would go and see it here in Germany if they do as that is where I grew up and spend all our holidays.
