Daughter's 14th birthday party - good film ideas please

My daughter is having some friends over to our house for her 14th birthday. There will be pizza and cocktails (yes! - non-alcoholic, but with umbrellas etc). We need a really good film for after supper for them to watch.

Does anyone have any recommendations, please?

Also, any great ideas to make the party go really well? Thank you!

Whip It is a great film with a nice feminist angle :) A bit of implied sex though. It's a PG-13.

Pitch Perfect.

Oooh...Pitch Perfect is a firm favourite with DD. For her 14th birthday, around Halloween, I showed them What We Do In the Shadows It went down rather well, and is currently available on Netflix if you have it.

Legally Blonde? Really great feelgood film with some funny moments and powerful female lead character.

DD13 and friends watched 'Now You See Me' a couple of weeks ago and all loved it. It's about a group of street magicians who are brought together by a mysterious organisation bro pull off an increasingly elaborate series of shows including robbing a bank under the watchful eyes of the FBI.

National lampoons animal house. Was my teens favourites, although possibly a bit old-school here and there nowadays.

Mean Girls and The Other Woman have been popular with our daughter and her friends. Both 12A.

Henna tattoo parties, pamper parties, hair and nails and make up have all been popular here. I wasn't so keen on the henna!

Can I suggest going back to the 80s and the amazing, and very overlooked, Some Kind of Wonderful by John Hughes? Fantastic film, great soundtrack, biting sarcasm and a happy ending.

(Designated ugly fat friend) is surprisingly good despite the title.
My teen liked it very much even though she is bigger than the lass in question.
It is a typical teen flick, funny and quite good at flaming the stereotypes and social media.
The only thing I would be wary of is if any of your dd's friends are obese: my DD enjoyed watching it with me but would have been self-conscious watching it with her peers.

creme I do like Wild Child and Emma Roberts... "if this was America, I would sue!!!" Aidan looked a bit old in it mind. Interesting to see magic mike spy boy bloke in it and girl from Fresh meat/Hebden.
