Maze Runner 2.... 12A????

We saw MR 1 on DVD recently, and although it is quite full on, I thought that a 12A rating seemed about right.

DC (11 and 10) v. keen to go and see MR2, and as they have seen a few 12A's, I said I would look into it. However, the reviews aren't great, which is one thing, but I did get the sense that some reviewers/viewers are surprised it is not a 15, sounds way too OTT for a 12A. Of course, I've not seen it, but we watched the trailer on Youtube and DD who is normally pretty unflappable just said, no way, that is so scary, much more than the first.

Anyone seen it and can pass an informed comment as DS is pestering me, but I am really not sure so have said No for now!

I haven't seen it, but heard Mark Kermode on the subject yesterday and he was quite adamant that 12 was the absolute minimum age - he felt that it should have been a 15.

Thanks, it sounds as if his view is similar to the others I saw on some film chat boards today. I will look that out, and play it to DS if need be to indicate why I am not allowing it at this point.
